About Us


  • The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation emphasizes the prevention, diagnosis and management of disorders that may produce temporary or permanent limitation, disability or participation restriction in any individual.
  • It focuses on the restoration of the function of individuals to the highest possible through an inter-disciplinary team.
  • The team led by a Rehabilitation Physician(Physiatrist) and including Rehab Nurses, Occupational therapists, Physical therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Medical Social Workers, Orthotist and Prosthetist, effect a comprehensive treatment plan for a person with loss of function arising from diseases.
  • Its therapeutic armamentarium includes medicines, medical and surgical interventions for musculoskeletal, neurological and pediatric disorders, therapeutic exercises, education and counseling.
