A lively Simulation- based CME was conducted by the Department of SRM/STRATUS, Centre for Medical Simulation on 15th December (Thursday), between 10.30 am to 1.00 pm. A total of 274 delegates participated in the CME Program, which was presented by the I year MBBS Students of the 2022 -23 Batch.
After the lamp- lighting ceremony, the Welcome Address was given by Organizing Chairperson Dr. Rachula Daniel (Head, SRM Stratus Centre for Medical Simulation). The Inaugural Address was delivered by Lt. Col A Ravikumar (ProVC MHS) and the Special Address was given by Dr. A. Sundaram (Dean – Medical ) in the august presence of Dr. K.V.Leela (Asso Dean, UG Studies), Dr. M. Logaraj (Asso Dean, UG Quality Assurance), Dr. Sharmila, Asso Dean, Student Affairs.
The student teams demonstrated life - saving skills on Human patient simulators which included Basic Life Support (BLS) for Adult, Child and Infant. The QCPR app was used to perform high quality CPR. There were 13 e – poster presentations by student teams on First Aid and prizes were awarded to winners. Certificates were distributed to all the students who participated in the simulation – based program.
