The Department of Education, International Chair In Bioethics (ICB), and SRM Institute of Science and Technology  celebrated the 7 th WORLD BIOETHICS DAY on 19th October 2022. As part of the event, An Award to an Active Member was presented to Dr.Satyajit Mohapatra, Head, Centre for Clinical Trial and Research, Professor of Pharmacology, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre for his dedication towards the research work and his steadfastness in following the bioethical principles in conduction of the clinical trials. He has successfully completed 25 Clinical Trial projects, since 2014. He spearheaded ICMR-sponsored Clinical Trial Phase I, II, III of COVAXIN (Bharat Biotech) COVID-19 Vaccine Trials successfully without any major adverse effects. Planned and established SRM Centre for Clinical Trial and Research (CCTR) in 2021 which is a “State of the Art” facility for carrying out Clinical Research. He has been a role model to many  researchers and his commitment to the core values of bioethics has been an example in this field.
